IC INFORMATION
Character Name: Owen
Species: Wizard,
Canon: Mahoutsukai no Yakusoku
Canon Point: 2.12
Character Age: ~1200
CRAU: No
CRAU Explanation: N/A
Character Appearance: Here
Powers and Abilities: •Magical resilience. Wizards are much sturdier then humans and can survive pretty dire things before they require medical assistance, an example being he literally got a hole punched in his chest and was able to keep fighting and talking.
•Ability enhancement, increasing his speed, strength, et cetera.
•Emotion manipulation, subtly influencing people to feel happy, sad, afraid.
•Animal speech, including magical beasts like dragons, serpents, three-headed dogs, etc.
•Element manipulation, summoning or manipulating elements already existing in the environment - ice, fire, water, so on and so forth.
•General Magical Blastin’, energy beams, projectiles, various forms of Doing Damage.
•Transformation of self, others, turning items into other items or living things, turning living things into objects. Magic cannot be used to create something from nothing, but you could easily do something like turn a pile of snow into a house made of candy that doesn't rot for centuries.
•Short-range teleportation, including to places not within eyesight.
•Presence concealment, as in able to be both invisible but also not appearing to any other senses, normal or supernatural. Can also be used to hide objects or buildings.
•Resurrection, but only himself. Whenever he dies, he just comes back.
•Healing, but only of his own injuries... He can't heal every severe injury, but. Points to the above ability.
•Scrying, using tools or water, so he can snoop.
•Hammerspace - he can summon or dismiss his magical tool, broom, and other artifacts.
•Flight, both on a broom but he can also float at slower speeds without one.
•Protective barriers or magic circles, blocking damage.
•Illusions of various forms that seem incredibly realistic.
•He made a forest of hallucinogenic, airborne poison and I don’t know how to quantify that more succinctly.
•Spirit sense & communication, hello ghosts and other magical entities.
•Sugar production, as wizard sugar has minor restorative properties and can give people boosts to their energy and mood.
•He can control his eye (inside Cain) independently.
•Telekinesis, can be used on both objects and living beings. He can move people and large objects, but he probably couldn't just... pick up a house.
•It’s very much a “magic can do just about everything” kind of magic system, but these are things he’s been shown to do in canon.

What Did Your Character Wish For? More power - Owen isn’t someone with big goals or aspirations or anything like that, but he is someone who always wants more than what he has. He wants more power so he can stop being the one dying in fights to the death all the time!!
What Potion Did They Receive? Cerulean
Did They Drink It? Yes

Character Questions:
1. Who is the person your character is most bonded with from their canon? Or who is someone they miss the most?
The most bonded would, in a quite literal sense, be Cain Knightley, a knight Owen encountered by happenstance he now has to work alongside. Owen is currently in possession of his eye, having swapped their around on a whim, which is something that could potentially give Cain a lot of leverage over Owen. His interest in Cain is noted to be unusual, as Owen is someone who has always been alone and who delights in tormenting others more than befriending them, but he and Cain have… kind of had normal conversations! Otherwise, everyone else he knows are people who can't stand him, who kill him constantly, or that would never trust him. This man has no friends.

2. What are they most afraid of?
Losing himself - not out of a fear of what sort of terrible things he’s capable of, because he very much enjoys doing terrible things, but of having no idea what he’s done and why. Owen’s memory is noted to be incredibly poor, and he’s missing centuries worth of memories and suffers from an affliction that causes him to lose periods of time to another version of himself. His sense of self is the only thing he has alongside his power, and it seems to be something slipping away from him as he’s forced to confront the unknowns of his past and how unpredictable people can be, leaving him vulnerable in a way that can leave him frozen and unsure of what to do. Things like brambles around his ankles, dark basements, starvation, all of those can unsettle him and become something he is afraid of, even if he would struggle to place it as fear.

3. What is their weakness? Emotionally, mentally and physically?
Emotionally? Everything, basically. He does not understand how emotions work and does not ever stop to process his, instead choosing to lash out or push feelings aside. He is, generally, someone who can calm himself under pressure and doesn’t have many mental weaknesses - except when faced with things that draw too close to the memories that he’s been repressing for centuries. Most things won't get him to bat an eye, because he's seen and done horrific things and can draw a healthy distance between then and himself, but... While he might be a powerful wizard who kills people for funsies sometimes, he’s also a powerful wizard with a tragic past and PTSD. He will bounce back eventually, but his calm under pressure and ability to compartmentalize his own emotions evaporate quite quickly when actually challenged with things outside of his control. He's an absolute mess who only knows how to function when he's being a huge brat and tormenting others, but unfortunately he's been stuck with people for a while.

Physically, wizards are actually pretty resilient! However, only when they actually have their magic. Without that he’s just a gangly wet noodle and physical anything will be too much.

4. What would make them happiest?
As many cakes as he could possibly eat at once. He’s a simple man of simple pleasures, and it would be especially good if he could eat those cakes knowing that he was making someone else rather miserable. He loves to steal. Anything more then that would still make him feel empty, so... the little things are better for him.

5. What’s their type for a lover?
Strong, either physically or magically - power is the most desirable trait, but he also prefers it when someone is powerful… and they don't take his shit. He's a cruel man with a reputation for being unpredictable and heartless, constantly being blamed for things he has not done simply because of who he is. Someone who will look past his reputation, and the way he tries to present himself and insist he is actually scum of the earth is the only kind of person who has a chance getting Owen to consider them as more then worthless. Unfortunately, he's emotionally constipated and really just cares about physical relationships right now, so people who could and would murder him are the ideal.
